Happy New Year!! I don’t know about you but I am really excited for this year.

Last year was a really tough one for me, with a new baby plus energy packed toddler, and lots of illnesses, accidents and things breaking on me, it was a bit of a crazy exhausting ride. But I think sometimes we have to hit rock bottom to grow and rise up better than ever. So this year I have big plans for my business and have been doing a lot of research and work, so I can really work towards make amazing things, and I am so excited at the potential of it all. So as for New Years Resolutions.. I am determined to have a better year, and a year where I really get clear on my business and make it work in amazing ways while still being able to care for my kids at home.

I have been freelancing and selling online for nearly 10 years now, it will be my 10 year anniversary in March. Its been a bumpy ride, with my business changing and my personal life, including moving houses 4 times, getting married and having two kids. And I think by hitting rock bottom, it has made me look more deeply and it all and what I really want to achieve and what I am best at, so that I can now concentrate on the right things and make it the best ever. So this might be a rather big goal and dream, but I think when we have clear goals, strategies and determination, anything can be possible. But hey what better time then my 10 year anniversary. Lets do this! 2017! A new decade for Tabitha Emma!

I made a little video too, as I am trying to practice using my video equipment and also get my confidence up using it. I am still working on the lens issue (it keeps going in and out of focus, and you can hear the lens sound, so sorry for that!)

I have been hearing a lot of people using the word ‘intention’ this year instead of ‘resolutions’. I think because they feel they often fail their resolutions, and the word intentions has less pressure attached, plus sometimes a new word, gives something old a new life. But personally I want to stick to resolutions, because I RESOLVE to have a better year, this is not just an intention that will likely fail, but something I am determined to do. I think when you set the bar high, even if you do fall short of your goal due to bumps, blocks, or the competition being too high, we at least get a lot closer, and we still acheive great things. Like if you resolved to lose 10kg, but got sick in the year and had to put off working out for a bit, but still lost 9kg, you still achieved something great. So set the bar high I say, work for your dreams. It’s ok if you don’t go as far as you hoped, you will still go far and you will learn a lot too. I always have found when I set a high bar (even if other think its a silly, too far flung goal) I may not bang on get there, but I will get very close, and I may have never gone that far if I only set a simple intention.
